Getting there
Driving considerations:
Cell service may be unreliable in the mountains. As a precaution, please print directions to your vacation home or hotel and note any contact numbers or access codes. Wi-Fi calling is available at the venue; just make sure it's enabled in your phone settings.
Closest airports
Asheville (AVL) | 1h 50min
Knoxville (TYS) | 2h 15min
Chattanooga (CHA) | 2h 15min
We recommend arriving early on Friday and renting a car at the airport. The ~2-hour drive is best done during daylight, as navigating the mountain roads at night can be challenging.
Venue address
16121 Wayah Road Topton, NC 28781

Driving considerations
-
Coming from east (Asheville)? Go through Bryson City, not Franklin (even if your GPS says otherwise), for an easier drive
-
From south (Atlanta)? Choose Murphy over Franklin.
-
From west (Chattanooga)? Avoid the Tail of the Dragon, an aptly named 11-mile stretch of US 129 featuring 318 turns
Cell service may be limited as you head into the mountains, so it’s a good idea to print directions and jot down the contact numbers or access codes of your vacation rental or hotel.
Wi-Fi is available at the venue, and Wi-Fi calling works well if you need it—just make sure it’s enabled in your phone settings.

Shuttle service: On Saturday, we will have shuttles running to and from the venue before the ceremony and after the reception. More details will be shared closer to the big day!
Eat & Drink
The only place around, just five minutes from the venue—yep, this is as close as it gets out here in the wild. Park yourself by the water and enjoy their famous pan-fried trout, or some good ole fashion burgers, salads, and sandwiches.
up for a scenic drive? Head to...
-
Hoppy Trout Brewing Company in Andrews for their Sicilian-style brick oven pizza and craft beer
-
Haywood Smokehouse in Franklin for their house-made sausages and sauces, and fall-off-the-bone ribs and brisket
-
The Rice Wagon food truck and Mountain Layers Brewing Company in Bryson City for authentic Hawaiian flavors (can you believe it?) paired with more craft beer
